On Wednesdays…
You can either be Soaring High, Walking Calmly Along or Already Exhausted…
If you feel like all you’ve done is fight battles,
this may be for you…
Take it easy, my friend…
He is there for you;
Rest in His love.
Okay, I’ve posted the serious stuff from the Conference. Now to the lighter side of things.
Well, I didn’t win the free ipad2
But, no worries, I came home with this….
and this…
Inside was all of these…
Well, the book “Alpabasa” was not part of the Conference kit (and neither were the Bo Sanchez books)…
I got the “Alpabasa” book to help my kids learn our national language. I will be the first to admit that my Filipino is not the best and I know I need help to help my children learn it. More about that book next time.
The Bo Sanchez books are gifts for some special people. I like his books. He’s funny and not too “heavy” to read, if you catch my drift.
The two things I wished I had gotten were “The Ultimate Guide to Homeschooling” by Debra Bell – sold during the Conference at a very good discounted price, and a set of telescope and microscope kit with hard-carry case, also offered at a good discounted price by a distributor. I compared the price of the same toy at Toy Kingdom at SM Megamall, so I knew it was an okay deal.
I had to order the book and will be getting it after 30 to 45 days. The shipment of 100 books was certainly not enough for all of us at the Conference.
One of the fun things about events like these are the freebies, discounts and exhibits. At last year’s Conference I got a lot of books. This year, there wasn’t that much variety in the books on sale. But it was all still worth it and most importantly, fun.
I’m looking forward to next year’s Conference…
